Shoot & Survive: Better Angles, Better Runs
Shoot & Survive turns brick breaking into a survival puzzle. You aim a stream of bouncing balls, release to fire, and try to destroy numbered bricks before the descending wall reaches the bottom line. Every brick needs multiple hits, so the quality of your angle matters just as much as the number of balls you have.
Each turn changes the board. After your balls finish their run, the brick formation moves downward and a new row enters from the top. That means every shot should solve the current danger while also preparing for the next one.
Use the side walls
Straight shots are easy to aim, but they often send the balls back down before they have done enough work. A shallow angle into a side wall can send the stream across a much wider section of the board.
Even better, try to find a route that gets some of the balls behind the front row of bricks. Once the stream is moving through the upper area, repeated bounces can hit the same formation several times before the balls return.
Collect extra balls when the route is safe
The floating extra-ball pickups are worth paying attention to because each additional ball increases the amount of damage you can produce on later turns.
That does not mean you should destroy your shot just to collect one. The route still has to deal with the dangerous blocks near the bottom. A pickup is useful when you can reach it without giving up control of the rest of the volley.
Prioritize the bottom threat
A high-number brick near the top can wait. A weaker brick sitting one row away from the survival line cannot.
When the board gets low, stop thinking about which target is easiest to hit and start thinking about which target can actually end the run. Clearing one dangerous brick can create enough space to give the rest of the board another turn.
Why shallow bank shots help
Aiming at a slight angle into the wall gives the ball stream more horizontal travel. That increases the number of bricks the balls can touch and often creates longer rebound paths.
The main thing to avoid is a shot that looks active but has no useful return path. Lots of bouncing is not automatically good. The bounces need to keep the balls in areas where they can continue damaging important bricks.
Common Shoot & Survive mistakes
Firing almost straight upward is one of the easiest ways to waste a turn. The balls return quickly and may barely touch the formation before dropping back down.
Panicking when the bricks approach the bottom causes a similar problem. Take the extra moment to find the bank angle that can actually clear the dangerous row.
